Captain’s Log: Earth Date 14 July 2016

Our group project has been quietly accumulating data unknown to us until today, Thursday. After breakfast the campers went back to the site affected by a recent wild fire to investigate how many of our fake caterpillar have experienced predation attempts, and we repeated the aforementioned procedure for the unaffected site. We also had time to give our individual projects a coup de grace, as their presentations are due tomorrow. Lastly, we’ve been visited by 2 members of a group named Conservation Science Partners who’ve explained the fundamentals of wildlife conservation (such as GIS utilization) and our camp counselors Allie and Marshall have given us an informative and practical info session on what to pursue after or during high school, if one wishes to follow a biology pathway.
