On this day, everyone started to collect data for their personal projects. Some people stayed at the Sagehen Field Station and collected the many bugs that could be found there. One group ventured to one of the many beaver dams there are and collected bugs from both above and below the dam. Gwen and Nick decided to go into open meadows/fields to collect beetles and butterflies. Lucy, Connor and I decided to start collecting moss and water samples from the fen. Once everyone was finished gathering data, we decided to relax at the beach. We went to West End Beach at Donner Lake (Note from Allie: lifeguards were present!) and rested for about an hour. Derrick and Gabby took out a kayak while others swam and played chess. Then we came back to the field station and played party games like Telephone Pictionary and Fishbowl.
