Day 4: Finishing Projects, Fire Ecology, Fish, and Crazy Costumes

We woke up and had some delicious bacon and scrambled eggs, we then set out to check on our group project which we had set up on Tuesday. We collected data and our clay caterpillars (some of which were predated upon by birds or some other animal). We then headed back to our cabins and continued working on our individual projects. After that we boogied on down to Independence Lake where we had lunch and learned about fire ecology and the reestablishment of the Lahontan Cutthroat Trout (LCT) in the watershed. We then drove back to Sagehen and continued working on our individual projects. I saw 12 trout in the fish house at the same time, but sadly we didn’t see the LCT that had been introduced earlier today. We then had a crazy costume pizza party!
